Peyton Owens

Other than being on the Liberator staff, Peyton Owens plays wide receiver  for flag football and is softball's second basemen. Apart from being at school or at home, she is at the ballpark practicing with her team or with her brother, Tanner.  Tanner is eleven-years-old and is in sixth grade at Avalon Middle School. Even though Owens is young, she has many accomplishments. She’s had the opportunity to receive two gold Presidential Awards and has been recognized by the President’s Education Awards Program, for promoting awareness of pediatric cancer and organ donation. She participates in scholarship programs to help enhance self-confidence, teamwork, poise, and self esteem. When asked to describe herself she said, "I would describe myself as a kind and caring person who loves to make people smile and laugh." Owens's favorite food is anything Mexican because her birthday is on Cinco de Mayo, so she's always had an obsession for La Hacienda and Taco Bell. She has traveled to Europe and other countries to bring awareness and participate in H.O.P.E. (Helping Our People Everywhere) an organization developed to help with community service projects. She can’t wait for what this school year hain store for her and her new journeys to come!
